Ohio Attorney General Betty D. Montgomery is the state's chief law officer. She also oversees all statewide law enforcement functions. The Attorney General provides legal advice to elected state officials, the General Assembly, and the departments and agencies of state government. Betty Montgomery operates the Attorney General's office through a senior staff that oversees the activities of an administrative, policy, and public affairs section, as well as more than 25 legal and law enforcement sections. The Attorney General's main office is located in Columbus, and there are regional offices in Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Toledo.
